The Safety, Health Environmental & Risk Management Manager is a detail oriented, conscientious leader directly responsible for the functions of the Safety and First Aid departments at Six Flags Over Georgia. This position will oversee accident and incident investigations, claim reporting and work as a liaison with insurance companies/adjusters, regulatory agencies and attorneys while ensuring safety training is conducted and documented in all departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Protect company assets and apply risk management experience to ensure Guest and Team Member safety

Support corporate risk management policies and safety initiatives

Manage compliance standards of local and state fire code

Monitor OSHA compliance and completion of related documentation

Insure EPA compliance and completion of documentation

Manage compliance and completion of documentation for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Department of Environmental Protection Division.

Implement and maintain the Safety & Risk Manual, Emergency Response Manual, First Aid and Safety and Risk Management Standard Operating Procedures; ensure all training is completed while reviewing them annually

Manage Emergency Response procedures and training

Manage all Safety, First Aid, and EMT staff and ensure all safety staff is in full compliance of State licensing

Ensures safety training is conducted and documented for vendors and park staff at all levels

Meet with insurance inspectors, government inspectors, and other auditors as needed

Routinely inspect all areas of the park for hazards and other safety related risks

Be proactive and communicate with park management and Team Members on any hazards that exist or may come to exist

Reviews contractor safely plans for compliance with park, federal, state and local regulations

Maintain records through Origami and produce safety/risk management related reports on a routine basis. Analyze accident & injury trends, Investigate all reports of accidents, hazards and safety issues and respond accordingly

Coordinate with other departments to proactively manage safety and preventative injury program to help protect Team Members and guests

Implement and manage safety education and communication programs

Ensure departmental compliance with monthly safety meetings and maintain safety, health, fire and security equipment in proper working condition

Represent the park in litigation matters regarding park safety or guest injury

Responsible for implementing and maintaining all drug testing procedures

Build and maintain Origami and Smartsheet to track accidents and injuries

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Strong background in Occupational Safety, Health, Fire & Risk Management

In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and ideally Georgia Safety and insurance regulations

Experience in Origami Risk Management Software

Bachelor's Degree Risk Management or related field or relevant work experience

Demonstrated leadership abilities with a team oriented approach

Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and orally

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Products

Candidate must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record, strong work ethic with the ability to work well under pressure and multi-task

Flexible schedule required including nights, weekends, and holidays

Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to forty pounds occasionally
