About Safety Intern

What does a Safety Intern do?

As Safety Interns, we are tasked with assisting Safety Officers and Safety Coordinators in ensuring that a workplace is safe for all employees and without any health hazards.We are working with our supervisors as well as all members of staff to enforce and maintain previously drafted health and safety standards. Our job also includes providing support in the preparation of safety-related educational material, organization of safety-related events and putting up safety signs. As Safety Interns, we are also taking part in safety audits, the analysis of the data gathered during the audit and writing reports of the health and safety status of the workplace.

Core tasks:

  • provide support for senior Safety Officers and Coordinators
  • take part in safety audits, wrtie reports
  • prepare safety-related educational materials
  • organize safety-related workshops and events
