SAG-AFTRA is the iconic American labor union that represents nearly 160,000 media professionals and currently operates with national offices in Los Angeles and New York (national offices), and local office countrywide. Members of SAG-AFTRA include actors, announcers, broadcasters, journalists, dancers, DJs, news writers, news editors, program hosts, puppeteers, recording artists, singers, stunt performers and voiceover artists that entertain and inform America and the world with their Talent. SAG-AFTRA employees support members and extend protections by negotiating the best wages, working conditions, health and pension benefits and preserve and expand members’ work opportunities, and protect members against unauthorized use of their work. Its employees also enjoy a competitive and comprehensive benefits package and experience a true work/life balance. SAG-AFTRA members work together to secure the strongest protections for media artists into the 21st century and beyond. Two majors American labor unions namely Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists came together with the effort of SAG-AFTRA.
