About Sales Executive

What does a Sales Executive do?

As sales executives, our job is to promote our organization's products or services to potential customers. We utilize our selling skills and consumer insights to develop new opportunities, and drive them through to close. We are expected to maintain pipeline targets. For this, we constantly monitor the market landscape, and grab every opportunity for growth. Our methods may include prospecting and cold calling, making presentations at conferences and trade shows, and more. We also negotiate contracts with clients, working closely with both our own and our customers’ sales management, finance, and legal teams.

Core tasks:

  • identifying and delivering new sales opportunities
  • identifying and pursuing prospective clients
  • retaining existing clients
  • holding presentations, making calls, etc.
  • monitoring consumer and market trends
  • identifying client needs to develop and execute account plans and custom client solutions
  • providing value propositions, preparing quotes, negotiating contracts, closing sales
