Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE), a joint venture of Worthington and Armstrong World Industries, has established worldwide leadership in the production of suspended ceiling systems. WAVE produces metal ceiling grids that can be combined with Armstrong ceiling boards as a complete package or sold individually.Founded in 1992, WAVE operates under a long-standing corporate philosophy rooted in the golden rule. This philosophy serves as an unwavering commitment to the customer, supplier, and shareholder, and it serves as the foundation for one of the strongest employee-employer partnerships in American industry.The position's primary role is to take leadership of regional teams to find, develop and close opportunities to sell WAVE's entire solutions portfolio.Act as the conduit during the sales process between specification reps, installation specialist, Design Service Center, distributor team, and Contractor Community (General Contractor and Sub-Contractor) to develop opportunities within the market. Promote our total ceiling solution, creating project-specific value propositions geared toward project influencers (contractors, estimators, project managers).Leverage the resources available to change the commercial focused playbook to include WAVE integrated solutions. Articulate the benefits gained using our complete integrated solutions for the area sales representatives, customers, and contractors.*Key Responsibilities*His/her key responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:* Drive and grow profitable sales of WAVE Integrated Solutions by focusing on major projects within region.* Acting as the product expert within the sales team for all WAVE solutions.* Prospect, identify, plan and prioritize major projects within region.* Develop strategies for major projects throughout the region, to maximize revenue* Generate proposals including technical performance, financial, and integration of WAVE solutions.* Build relationships with the general contractors, sub-contractors & developers to achieve customer satisfaction and financial goals* Influence end-users to purchase WAVE products through solution selling* Demonstrates leadership to promote a safe working environment for all employees and supports the company's 8-Step Safety Process* Directly involved growing sales of newly developed products , including creating selling aids and understanding technical information relating to the product line in order to grow sales* Leverage product portfolio and present solutions that create measurable value for the sub-contractor, general contractor & developer* Work closely with Area Manager and Sales Team to target projects across the region, and participate in monthly job follow-up meetings to assess potential future sales opportunities* Interface with and assist WAVE commercial, technical and business personnel and orchestrate all internal activities to enhance sales of in-scope projects* /Provide all the necessary reporting (i.e. SalesForce.com) to the business to track and monitor progress/* This position acts as a player/coach on effective major project selling* Learning and continuously improving through individual and team learning and development initiatives* Conduct competitive market intelligence; analyze and adjust positioning to grow market leadership* Analyze territory performance (sales, volume, pricing) to formulate regional procedures and provide counsel to area sales teams and distributor customers to enhance WAVE integrated sales* Strategic business plan development and execution* Will seek alternative partnerships and relationships that will help drive sales efforts involving a total integrated solution strategy* Organizational Alignment** /Reports to the Regional Manager - Integrated Solutions Sales (East/West)/* /Individual contributor/*Qualifications and Education Requirements** Minimum// 5// Years' Experience in interior Construction (installer / foreman / superintendent / estimator / project manager / project engineer), or Field Sales Manager* Sound understanding of the construction process, and can read and understand related construction documentation* Broad understanding and ability to identify on-site construction activities that lead to more efficient installation methods* Strong communication skills and reports pertinent information at key milestones through clear, concise oral and written communication.* Builds organization-wide relationships and influences others to move initiatives forward and position ideas to enhance likelihood for success* Computer skills a must: Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe PDF editor, Plan Grid, etc.* Bachelor's degree, preferred*Core Competencies** Selling* Basic construction practices* Business acumen* Product knowledge* Customer focus* Building collaborative relationships* Communication: oral, written, persuasive*Required Skills** Ability to read construction drawings* Problem solving/Analytical thinking* Understanding of construction processes and key players* Capability to work well individually and in a team setting* Energetic/Self-Motivation/Passion for success*Physical and Mental demands*The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
