Sales Operations Business Analyst
A cloud computing giant located in Santa Clara, CA is currently seeking an exceptional Sales Operations Business Analyst to join their Sales Enablement team! This role will be critical to help increase the sales team efficiency by identifying key skills required for sales success, methods to identify if skills are missing, and proposals to address and rectify any skill gaps. This role will use data to demonstrate the impact of training and education on success in the sales role. The successful candidate will work with the sales organization, gathering requirements from key stakeholders, documenting existing data/reporting/processes, analyzing data, generating findings, and working to ensure that findings support key business initiatives across the company.
Collect, analyze, evaluate and report data to track sales performance and metrics
Work to identify skill gaps among sales force and propose solutions based on data and analysis
Understanding of Sales Pipeline Data, Quota Performance, Bookings Performance, etc.
Understanding of Sales Training Data, Learning Management System (LMS) Data, Education Data, etc.
Correlation across data sources to identify causal factors identifying best practices that lead to proven sales success
Assist in creating exception reporting to ensure that sales managers and sales staff are aware which educational milestones have not been completed and drive completion of these educational milestones
Prepare sales reporting for executive management
Assist with providing ROI metrics for sales enablement programs/tools/training's
Create prototype dashboards/data models/reports for centralized Business Intelligence team using Tableau, Excel, SQL, etc.
Assist with data hygiene, process improvement, tool evaluation, data source creation, and other cross-team activities
Communicate status regularly with stakeholders and executive sponsors
Experience as a Sales Business Analyst/Business Process Management Consultant preferably working with SaaS software company (5 years+)
Subject matter expertise in sales/channel sales including leads management, sales life-cycle, logical thought process, confident, highly communicative, excellent business understanding, not shy to challenge others or propose changes
Strong understanding of relational databases, reporting tools and data quality management techniques
Prior experience handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Ability to perform complex analyses including regression, forecasting and probability modeling
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and information to a broad audience
Prior hands-on experience with BI tools such as Business Objects, Tableau, Qlikview, OBIEE, etc. and experience in evaluating and selecting the optimum tool on a use case basis
Expert level proficiency in data analysis, querying and crunching data from multiple systems and data transformation approaches
Managed ambiguity at various stages of project evolution and supplemented business discovery sessions with recommendations through rapid prototyping of scenarios
Strong appetite for carrying out data intensive discovery and assumes pride in high degree of accuracy when delivering analytics products R (or similar)
