About Salesforce Administrator

What does a Salesforce Administrator do?

As Salesforce Administrators, we specialize in Salesforce's suite of products and conduct system administration. We act as the point of contact for answering questions of users within the company and training them on their desired salesforce product. We create new user accounts for every employee and monitor the level of their access according to their roles. Overseeing the importation of new leads and contacts on a regular basis and developing a standard operating procedure for this process is also a part of our responsibilities. We also create and maintain archive records of Field History Tables and document all the error reports and changes.

Core tasks:

  • running quarterly tests and reports like APEX tests, roles by profile reports, field utilization reports, and others for database maintenance
  • running duplication tools to cancel duplicate data
  • installing all important updates from Salesforce.com and test them under controlled conditions
  • addressing user issues and solving problems
