San Diego Community College District is composed of three colleges - San Diego City, Mesa, and Miramar colleges, as well as seven campuses of San Diego Continuing Education. It is one of the largest of California’s 73 community college districts, with serving 100,000 students annually. The SDCCD maintains active partnerships with local industry, the community, the military, and educational institutions to ensure students have clear pathways to careers and the next stage of their education. The colleges offer Associate Degrees, Continuing Education, Career Technical Certificates that prepare students for pathways with higher-paying jobs. Besides, Mesa College now offers a bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management as part of California’s Baccalaureate Pilot Program. These colleges are accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC), Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the Commission for Higher Education Accreditation, the U.S. Department of Education and many others.
