San Francisco AIDS Foundation (SFAF) was first founded in 1982 as the Kaposi's Sarcoma Research and Education Foundation. Later, in 1984, it was reorganized as the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. It was founded by Cleve Jones, Marcus Conant, Frank Jacobson, and Richard Keller. The primary head office is situated in San Francisco, California, the United States. The Chief Executive Officer is Joe Hollendoner. SFAF is a California non-profit and a community-based organization that is led by volunteer group physicians and gay community leaders who are dedicated to providing advice, assistance, and services for people who are infected with HIV/AIDS, with a mission to end AIDS epidemic in the United States. SFAF also promotes health, wellness, and social justice, sexual health and substance use services, advocacy for the communities who are most impacted by HIV/AIDS.
