What does a SAP Solution Architect do?

As SAP Solution Architects, we focus on strategic decisions related to SAP applications. Backed by the understanding of business applications and technology landscapes, we design technical solution architectures. Also, we document SAP solution requirements. We conduct IT applications assessments, evaluations, and solution selection.

Generally speaking, we report to SAP Project Managers, and collaborate with software developers.

Core tasks:

  • translate business and technology requirements into functional architecture solutions
  • review the impact of new solutions
  • provide feedback on results
  • coordinate new development activities
  • participate in key project design
