About SAT Instructor

What does a SAT Instructor do?

As SAT Instructors, we are responsible for helping students prepare for Sat tests by completing the following duties: developing personalized Sat study plans, providing preparation materials, monitoring student progress, identifying students strengths and weaknesses, recommending study habits, and mentoring new tutoring staff. We also need to raise student SAT scores through excellent instruction and deliver high-quality, fun learning experiences with relevance and rigor.

Core tasks:

  • building authentic connections with students and managing tough classrooms with firmness and consistency
  • participating in weekly professional development experiences in instruction, wellness
  • participating in weekly or semi-monthly coaching sessions with an instructional coach and engaging in an instructional growth plan with an instructional coach
  • completing routine assignments, including peer observations and critiques and managing communication with other team members and partners
