As School Librarians, we are responsible for supporting the learning needs of students and staff. We use the school curriculum to promote a balanced approach to learning. We incorporate knowledge literacy into regular teachings. Instructing students on the use of school libraries and the current technology required to access the resource is also a part of our duty. We assist with the inventory of the library's entire collection. Working as School Librarians, we are responsible for helping teachers and students collect library material for special assignments. We empower students to be critical thinkers and ethical users of information. Finally, we prepare lesson plans for classes.
