As the Search Engine Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for establishing a strategic framework for approaching organic searches. This includes utilizing a keyword approach across customer groups and therapeutic areas based on search behavior. You will ensure the technical health of sites and engage in ongoing content strategy. You will also partner multi-functional and marketing teams to establish Key Performance Indicators that align to the overall brand strategy and channel mix.
Perform detailed keyword research and search behavior analysis toward a strategy of targeting between medical, HCP, and consumer users.
Isolate search behaviors to a target audience to adjust targeting strategy to ensure content is reaching appropriate audience.
Execute technical site audits, triage issues, and partner with development team to implement SEO standard methodologies.
Optimize on-page content and meta tags, including page titles, meta descriptions, schema markup, image alt tags, and social tagging.
Identify content gaps and opportunities to improve organic search performance by providing users the information they want and to drive the business forward.
Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) by brand and ensure conversion tracking in Google Analytics and other SEO tools when relevant.
Develop key training components critical for others to operationalize the new SEO & SEM standards.
Perform competitive research, benchmarking, and analysis.
Interpret analytics reporting and communicate performance and ongoing optimization steps and rationale to business partners at varying levels.
Identify link building opportunities, and execute link building strategy.
Cultivate collaborative relationship with key internal teams.
3+ years SEO experience
Previous experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console
Proficient written and oral communication skills
Proven ability to collaborate multi-functionally
Prior experience working across a variety of SEO tools, such as SEMrush, ScreamingFrog, Brightedge, seoCLARITY, Deepcrawl, Moz
Previous experience using Google Tag Manager
Knowledge or experience with paid search / SEM
Experience working inside a regulated environment
Previous international SEO experience
Capable of influencing without authority from peer level to VP level
Proven ability to work with complexity and provide simple yet eloquent solutions
Demonstrated Emotional Intelligence
