ASRC Federal Research and Technology Solutions (ARTS) seeks a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team supporting NASA's Enterprise Managed Cloud Computing (EMCC) Group at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA. Using your industry knowledge and best practices, you will provide engineering development and solutions creation across the NASA centers to facilitate agency cloud usage and adoption. Responsibilities Build, manage, and maintain multiple large-scale enterprise cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Create, maintain, and improve tools, automation scripts, documentation, workflows, policies, and streamline processes. Interface with NASA customers to provide secure, scalable, and rapid deployment of cloud services. Will present briefings, recommendations and solutions to all levels Solutions based management and automation of cloud provisioning tasks. Design, maintain, and improve tools and dashboards for managing the infrastructure. Administration of Managed Cloud Environments (MCEs). Cloud architecture, design, and service administration. Event Management, monitoring metrics, and continuous development of improvements. Requirements Requires a strong DevOps mentality plus Agile and Solutions oriented experience. Should be passionate about maintaining industry knowledge including best practices in building secure environments, architecture and development. Other requirements include: BS in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience. Requires 2-4 years of direct related experience as a DevOps Engineer and a total of 6-10 years of cumulative IT experience. Profound knowledge in various scripting languages with proficiency in two of the following: Python, Ruby, Perl, PowerShell, and/or Bash. Requires the ability to write clean, simple, and re-usable code, plus experience managing code repositories and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with DevOps automation, mass deployment, and orchestration tools (Examples: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.). Requires experience with system & server administration running Linux & Windows operating systems. Experience installing, configuring, deploying, monitoring, testing, and maintaining cloud-based servers. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel up to 15% of the time to other US based NASA centers. Must be able to obtain / maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. Active Secret clearance is highly desired. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. Desired Skills Previous experience performing work on a Government Contract. Experience operating large-scale enterprise cloud environments. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and additional IaaS experience. Hands-on experience with databases, networking, and cloud services. Information security experience in scope of architecture and development.
