The role…
Choice Hotels is seeking a Senior Director, Supply Chain Development to join our Partner Services team. This Senior Director will be responsible for determining the strategic vision for the Business Development functions, as they relate to products, identifying and prioritizing new relationships and complex partnerships with a broad array of operational, food & beverage, distribution oriented, and other related vendors.
The Senior Director will also lead and develop other Business Development Director(s), as they create and develop targeted business partnerships designed to maximize revenue. He/she will also manage, as well as execute and leverage, partnership opportunities across broad product and some service lines to achieve incremental revenue opportunities for the company.
Other duties include, determining and executing, a strategic vision for events, as they contribute to Business Development. Analyzing current portfolio of events, opportunities, and other platforms that could be leveraged to expand the value to Choice and further monetize each experience. Identifying innovative prospects to create revenue opportunities from within the hospitality industry or other outside industries.
What you will do…
- Determine strategic and tactical implementation for the Business Development function. Research and identify guest product needs with prospective business partners to optimize corporate value and create revenue opportunities. Prioritize opportunities for the team. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure some value proposition is created for the franchisee, the vendor, and Choice. Manage the development of existing and future partnerships with the objective of creating a revenue stream and value programs that licensees and the organization determine as viable. Credibility, communication, salesmanship, and process orientation are keys.
- Establish and monitor sales objectives (Marketing/sponsorship fees, revenue goals etc.) to ensure both individual and department goals are achieved. Prepare quarterly/annual forecasts and performance updates as requested.
- Analyze current portfolio of events and leverage existing opportunities in order to expand the value to Choice and further monetize each experience. Identify innovative prospects to create revenue opportunities from industry or outside venues.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders in order to maximize on each vendor/revenue generating opportunity.
- Manage a focused team, intent on driving incremental, recurring revenue.
Skills you have…
- Demonstrated experience in driving revenue with strategic business planning and growing/developing revenue within a national brand organization.
- Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated record of success and record of driving engaging culture
- Superior sales and account relationship skills.
- 12 – 15 years of business development experience with progressive track record of exceeding target revenue goals.
- Solid ability to present and communicate, no matter the audience
- Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions.
- High-level negotiation skills with proven record of developing complex agreements, as well.
- Ability to interact with senior levels of management.
- Proficiency in MS Office software products.
- Proven experience in budget management.
- Strong Understanding of the Hospitality Vendor Market(s).
- BA/BS Business or Marketing or equivalent experience required.
- Experience in hospitality supply chain or procurement required
