What does a Senior Environment Artist do?

As senior environment artists, we produce high-quality creative content for the project while assisting the lead artist with management-related duties, all while respecting technical constraints and artistic direction. From development to placement, we identify, manage, and assign resources. We help in the professional understanding of the team's more junior members. We serve as a resource for the art team in terms of different creative elements, as well as finding solutions to complex problems.

Core tasks:

  • supervising optimization and debugging to address problems posed by testers
  • creating and incorporating assets into the playroom, as well as coming up with ideas that follow the style guide
  • evaluating and organizing the room with narrative and visual storytelling in mind, as well as recording intentions
