We are looking for an experienced Front End Engineer to build engaging experiences that help individuals unlock their inner potential. You'll be joining talented and passionate individuals doing the best work of their careers and together you'll make an impact on the company and the lives of our customers.

This is a remote role, anywhere in the US!

What you'll do:
  • SPA Architect - Help guide the future of our Ember app, using your deep knowledge of modern Javascript, to ensure quality and maintainability.
  • Product Engineer - Bring your technical perspective, as well as a curious, empathic mind to shape team decisions about design, scope, and priority; ensuring maximum value for our customers at each stage of the product's development.
  • Champion of the Web - Be the expert resource for other engineers on issues such as motion and animation, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and CSS and Javascript best practices.
  • Driver of Frontend Enablement - Build, enhance, and own processes and tools (for example, a component library, automated visual regression testing, code linting, or lunch and learn presentations) that allow your team members to execute with the force of your expertise.
If you have some or all of the following, please apply:
  • Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field preferred
  • 8+ years experience.
  • Expert verbal and written communication.
  • Experts in current web technologies (HTML, CSS3, Javascript).
  • Strong experience managing mobile responsive, complex Single Page Applications (SPA) and Progressive Web Applications (PWA) using current technologies such as Ember/React/etc (Ember preferred).
  • Captivating portfolio of consumer grade applications with engaging interactions.

Tasks

  • Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
  • Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures.
  • Direct software programming and development of documentation.
  • Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance.
  • Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
  • Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve customer problems.
  • Design or develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
  • Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status.
  • Confer with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects.
  • Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
  • Coordinate installation of software system.
  • Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
  • Supervise and assign work to programmers, designers, technologists, technicians, or other engineering or scientific personnel.
  • Advise customer about or perform maintenance of software system.
  • Train users to use new or modified equipment.
  • Specify power supply requirements and configuration.
  • Evaluate factors such as reporting formats required, cost constraints, or need for security restrictions to determine hardware configuration.
  • Use microcontrollers to develop control signals, implement control algorithms, or measure process variables, such as temperatures, pressures, or positions.
  • Recommend purchase of equipment to control dust, temperature, or humidity in area of system installation.
