Senior IT Project Manager Norfolk, Virginia Contract-to-Hire We are looking for a Sr Technical Project Manager with Agile and SDLC experience to join our highly reputable and stable Fortune 500 healthcare insurance client. You will be working full-time hours to lead multiple projects and ensure that they are on track. You will be responsible for applying Project Management and SAFe/Agile principles, skills, tools, and techniques to meet project deliverables and delivery quality products to customers. Qualifications: At least 5 years of project management experience in information systems Experience working in Agile environment and understanding of the full SDLC Certifications: PMP or Certified Scrum Master or Certified SAFe Agilist (Scaled Agile Framework) Responsibilities: Coordinate cross-functional teams to gain agreement on scope, approach, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and budget Coordinate with all stakeholders and dependent projects to develop detailed program schedule or Agile release plans Support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team Coordinate requirements, schedule implementation and post-implement plans, and develop service-level agreements (SLAs) Act as a champion to educate the business on how to maximize ROI and meet objectives through Agile development Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work Define critical path/project success factors Establish and manage the project warranty period Why should you apply?
