As senior procurement specialists, we ensure purchase of goods and services through legally acceptable procedures. The responsibility of negotiating discounts and prices on complex contracts is ours as senior procurement specialists. We are also in charge of the planning, allocation and control of activities of the procurement department. We provide technical advice to heads of different functions on creation of procurement requests. We are expected to investigate, establish and communicate or report to management on the most economical ways of sourcing materials considering price, quality and lead time. We organize the renewal of continuing agreements and the signing of purchase agreements.
