Job Description

With our thriving company culture and great benefits and perks, our employees love to call LegacyTexas home so will you.The Treasury Management Sales Officer focuses on acquiring new clients and generating new business from a new base of existing clients and prospects. The TMSO works closely with the Corporate bankers assigned to the clients to ensure proper alignment of strategies and credit capacity for all TS products. Complex client management is required, with significant new business attainment expected. Develops strategic sales plans and executes them in coordination with other Treasury colleagues and the appropriate coverage teams. Responsible for actively maintaining a thorough understanding of the industry in which the client operates, the client's organizational and operating structure, its strategies and objectives, and its buying behavior, to effectively position VPB and TM solutions optimally. Understands competition capabilities and gaps and how to position the bank’s TM services against them. Promotes sales through frequent client meetings and discussions covering new products, market and industry developments. Manages proposal writing and the entire sales process. Works closely with the TA’s and CSPs to drive efforts to expand existing business with current clients. Generates cross-sell opportunities by maintaining strong working relationships with other VPB lines of business.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES: Partners with commercial business development officers, lenders, sales professionals, and others to target and build opportunities for Treasury Management solutions.Forms teams to solve complex client needs and issues.Influences and enriches the sales process through industry trend analysis, product innovation, and consultative relationship reviews.Executes strategic market based sales plan to target prospects and existing customers.Responsible for achieving annual performance metrics for new business sales, call expectations, and retention of strategic client relationships.Grows non-interest income.Manages pipeline for accuracy.Responsible for representing Treasury Management in internal and external settings.All other tasks as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role has no supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS): Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.A minimum of 5-7 years of Treasury Services or Sales experience.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.Strong working relationships with clients and colleaguesAbility to work independently and have strong acumen for business and relationship development.Ability to generate ideas; identify and drive the development of new business.Demonstrates excellent selling and negotiation skills.Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.Possesses strong industry/market expertise.Demonstrates strong time management, organizational and planning skills.Possesses strategic thinking skills.Has the ability to mobilize internal networks and resources.Can work well with and direct a Treasury Analyst supporting the position.Has the ability to use various PC and internet-based systems to manage their business portfolio.Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and awarenessPossesses knowledge and understanding of bank’s Treasury Services products.Superior strategic sales knowledge selling to large, complex customers.Knowledge of territory management.Demonstrates high level of Treasury Management product knowledge and product innovation.Knowledge of credit and operational risk – ability to quantify potential exposure and advise team.Demonstrates strong knowledge of market/industry trends.Demonstrates proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Develop and write reports, proposals, and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to use formulas and ratios to assist in the selling of Treasury Management products that affect the client’s cash conversion cycle: i.e. lockbox.Ability to create pro-formas and understand formulas involved in analysis.Ability to read financial statements.Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Ability to determine TM solutions for complex client needs.Resourceful and able to research issues and conflicts for best resolutions.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint.None required, but Certified Treasury Professional designation is preferable.
