About Ship Superintendent

What does a Ship Superintendent do?

In the role of Ship Superintendent, our main responsibility is to perform repair and maintenance tasks on the shipyards. We determine the areas of improvement in the assigned areas and provide these reports to the managers for taking their further directions. Working as Ship Superintendents, we understand the budget for shipyard and dry dock projects to perform the repair in accordance with that project. We stay in touch with our organisations to continuously take their suggestions on our performed repairs and maintenance. In this role, we work collaboratively with the team members and coordinate with the ship technicians whenever required.

Core tasks:

  • maintaining the condition of the ship
  • repairing the areas of improvement in the ship projects
  • providing maintenance suggestions to our team managers
  • taking orders from the directors
  • performing other duties as assigned
