Showtime Networks Inc. is an American entertainment corporation that owns and operates premium broadcast tv services, including Showtime, the company's flagship station. It is a division of the Viacom CBS media conglomerates local channel segments. The corporation began as Movie Channel in 1983 and later combined their premium networks, Showtime and The Movie Channel, under one operating unit. Showtime.com is now available for viewing on laptops. Pop TV is also controlled by SNI. Via SHOWTIME PPV, SNI markets and distributes sporting and entertainment events for pay-per-view viewing by subscribers. SHOWTIME is a premium television network that broadcasts highly lauded original and limited episodes, pioneering documentaries and docuseries, hit Hollywood films, sports, and special comedy specials at low cost.
