Snowshoe Mountain is a resort located in Snowshoe, West Virginia, United States. Thomas Brigham discovered the mountain and assumed it would be a perfect location to build a new ski resort. About 400000 skiers visit the resort each year from the larger cities of the southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and West Virginia. In 1990, the Tokyo Tower Development Company purchased the snowshoe mountain.
