Job Description Narrative Description:The Social Media Strategist will work directly with clients on marketing campaigns under the guidance of a Social Media Account Manager. Many social media engagements are part of larger campaigns consisting of Search Engine Marketing, Public Relations, or both. The social media marketing team is charged with bringing the unique benefits of social media into those campaigns in order to make them more powerful and effective. Other Social Media engagements consist solely of social media marketing and channel management. Responsibilities: Meet with client to collaboratively determine their social media marketing objectives, goals, and aspirationsAssist the Social Media team in planning and communicating a long term social media marketing strategy based upon those objectives while making recommendations for how best meet and exceed their needs.Work with the Social Media Account Manager and other Strategists/Specialists to deliver a timeline for implementing the strategy, working with the clients internal personnel to carry out our recommendations.Work closely with Social Media Content Coordinators to ensure content is in line with a strategic approach.Manage a team of interns to assist with research and project implementation.Conducting ongoing monitoring, tracking, reporting and improvement of assigned social media marketing tasks. Aid in training of clients in how to employ sound social media techniques in order to ensure the success of our recommendations. Experience with Photoshop and other graphic design programs.Ability to recognize personal limits and find resourceful ways to self-educate and overcome those limits.
