About Social Work Supervisor

What does a Social Work Supervisor do?

As Social Work Supervisors, we plan and prepare weekly group meetings with interns and relevant program staff. We establish connections with other agencies to build a robust referral network and identify opportunities for collaboration. We also prepare quarterly performance evaluations. We supervise and train social workers for various social programs.

Core tasks:

  • monitoring the performance and professional development of social workers and executing progressive discipline measures when appropriate
  • providing monthly supervision with individual social workers to monitor cases
  • completing regular audit to ensure social workers met all visitation and paperwork requirements
  • providing training and supervision to assigned social workers
