About Social Worker

What does a Social Worker do?

As social workers, we help aid clients handle life problems they face every day. Some of us assist clients who have problems caused by abuse, mental health, domestic violence, and parental substance abuse. We treat and diagnose behavioral, mental, and emotional issues. Assessing clients and collecting relevant information about their cases are also our duties. Our responsibilities include crisis intervention, and making and contacting referrals to other services and agencies.

Core tasks:

  • assisting various clients in getting services in person and by telephone
  • supporting clients and offering information to clients’ families
  • contacting and offering referrals to other services and agencies
  • preparing reports and maintaining accurate records
