About Software Development Manager

What does a Software Development Manager do?

As Software Development Managers, we manage all the software development group activities, set attainable goals for team members for the project to be finished on time, guide team members, encourage work productivity, and make sure the software development group follows the timeline. We manage multiple projects at once, ensures appropriate procedures and processes are followed when it comes to software development, represent the software department in meetings and participates in design control activities. As Software Development Managers, we also monitor, evaluate and ensure the completion of tasks and projects, analyzes software requirements, implements design plans, review unit tests and document software development. Software Development Managers review and revise product requirements and specifications.

Core tasks:

  • come up with project management and technical leadership for every aspect of software
  • develops time frame for different projects inclusive of research, development, design, evaluation, testing along with delivery to product management
  • oversee architecture plus lead efforts to develop a technical roadmap of all projects
  • develop and stimulate software development standards and processes along with best practices for the delivery of scalable and high-quality software
  • establish relations with existing and prospective internal customers to interpret all individual requirements
