Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

  1. PROJECT / TASK MANAGEMENT

  1. Leads technical implementation projects to ensure deliverables are met.
  2. Ensures stakeholders are kept up to date on all assigned requests.
  3. Works to control project and task scope while ensuring customer requirements are met.
  4. Escalates scope changes to Solution Integration Manager.
  5. Follows-ups on SIA roadmap tasks to ensure they are kept up to date.
  6. Participates in team huddles and meetings, communicating if assistance is needed to keep tasks on schedule.
  7. Demonstrates flexibility with workload and changing priorities.
  8. Prioritizes workload effectively or requests help from SIA Manager.
  1. TECHNICAL SOLUTION IMPLEMENTATION

  1. Ensures a clear understanding of end user requirements and proposed solutions through follow-up communication.
  2. Suggests alternative technical solutions when possible.
  3. Creates projects, tasks, and tickets with all the documentation needed to streamline the development and testing process.
  4. Assists customer solutions team as needed to resolve more complex technical issues.
  5. Takes ownership of assigned tasks to ensure they are complete, tested, and released to production in line with requirements.
  6. Reads SQL procedures and creates queries needed to support testing efforts.
  7. Creates and modifies interface specs, providing data sources for staging tables and VMS.
  8. Supports module implementations and enhancements related to updated configurations within VMS.
  9. Analyses VMS data and identifies root causes based on results.
  10. Supports documentation initiatives that align with team goals.

  1. VMSA AND DATA WAREHOUSE
One or more of the following are applicable based on expertise, tenure, and individual assignments:
  1. Collaborates with the data warehouse team to add new modules and data elements to the warehouse and cubes.
  2. Follows up on outstanding deliverables to ensure they fully vetted, tested, and released properly.
  3. Monitors the development of new modules and features in VMS to ensure any business-critical information is transformed into the warehouse.
  4. Expands the use of VMSA across our organization through the preparation and delivery of appropriate training content.
  5. Delivers solutions which streamline operations and customer support.
  6. Supports development of dashboards which reduce the demand on the customer solutions team for reporting, and address/resolve customer questions directly.
  7. Supports initiatives to maintain a secure access environment.
  8. Supports the design and creation of customer dashboards.
  9. Ensures dashboards deliver clear content that addresses key supply chain questions.
  10. Supports the standardization dashboards across the customer base to maximize utilization.
  11. Proactively creates tickets and tasks to resolve issues, follows-up to ensure they are completed.
  12. Implement approved customer requests for new features, reports, views, or enhancements to the cube or Dashboards.
  13. Provides training to customers and associates on DW, cubes and dashboard functionality; maintain user guides and/or create training material where necessary.
  14. Strives to expand knowledge of data warehouse to improve ability to resolve issues more quickly and independently.
  15. Performs other work as directed by management
