About Sommelier

What does a Sommelier do?

As Sommeliers, we are responsible for creating wine lists that pair with food items and menu lists. We create and update wine lists and make recommendations on food and wine pairings. We advise guests on wines according to their preferences and supervise wine serving activities. We create and update wine lists with the chefs and manager and ensure the wine cellar is fully stocked. Informing guests on the variety of wines and training wait staff on available wine is part of our main responsibilities. We negotiate the price with vendors and organize wine tasting events. Working as Sommeliers, we ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. We also ask guests for ID to verify the legal drinking age.
