Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) is an urban school system progressing to serve the students of Nashville, Tennessee and Davidson County. This school system was established in the year 1855, with Hume School, later getting unified with Nashville and Davidson County Schools to form MNPS. The mission of MNPS is to deliver good public education to every student, everyday and has a clear vision to be an effective urban school system, ensuring that every student will become a life-long learner prepared to have a good career and life. MNPS believes in its core values that are woven throughout their objectives, high-level strategies and performance measures. The system has over 11,000 employees guiding about 86,000 students and assisting them to have a well-organized future. MNPS is looking for effective teachers who have a great passion for urban education and a go-getter spirit leading the system to be a systematized urban school system in the nation.
