South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) is a recognized state agency. Its main responsibility is to provide the public with a clear understanding of its plan to preserve South Carolina's natural deposits(resources) in the United States by regulating and charging for the actions caused by hunting, fishing, boating, making duck stamp orders. SCDNR organization was formed in 1994, under South Carolina's Restructuring Act and preceding agencies such as Wildlife and Marine Resources Department, Water Resources Commission, Land Resources Commission, State Geological Survey, and S.C. Migratory Waterfowl Committee. SCDNR headquarter is located in Columbia, South Carolina, the United States. Robert H. Boyles is the State agency Executive. It is governed by seven Board of Directors.
