What does a Spacecraft Systems Engineer do?

Being Spacecraft Systems Engineers, we provide technical support to plan and execute spacecraft acquisition. We assess the spacecraft technologies, concepts, and systems. We also provide technical reviews. We are responsible for analyzing mission objectives to determine spacecraft system requirements. Working as Spacecraft Systems Engineers, we create and manage critical budgets such as mass, power, and links. We ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into total system solutions. Drafting, reviewing, and releasing the documents of requirements specification is also a part of our job.

Core tasks:

  • applying model-based system engineering techniques
  • performing several tests to analyze technical data
  • resolving the cross-functional technical issues of the company
  • establishing system architectures
  • allocating and defining subsystem requirements
