About

Description

As special education paraprofessionals, we provide assistance to the classroom teacher to organize students. We help supervising teachers to implement instructional programs to help individual students by managing their behaviour. We also help classroom teachers to provide personal care and cultivate social integration among children with social problems. We collaborate with Special Education and Regular Education Teachers to help students achieve academic excellence. We focus on helping teachers deals with aggressive and disruptive students to avoid too much interruptions when teaching through physical management. We special education paraprofessionals also create programs and training schedules to be followed by classroom teachers to provide behavioral support to its students.

Core tasks:

  • ensuring students are supported to excel academically
  • supporting students behaviorally
  • managing physical movements of aggressive and disruptive students
  • creating programs and training schedules for personal care and social integration.
