Under the generaldirection of the Director or Supervisor, the Speech-Language Pathologistfunctions with limited supervision and is responsible for evaluation of patientperformance and progress; treatment of patients; communication of evaluationand treatment results; documentation of evaluation and treatment results;reading of patient and professional related materials; presentations to staff,and program development as assigned. TheSpeech Pathologist cares for ages 12-17 Yrs Adolescent, 18-39 YrsYoung Adult, 40-64 Yrs Adult and 65+ Geriatric patients. Includes outpatient and inpatient coverage. Weekend coverage and holidays with exclusion of Christmas andThanksgiving will be required with on call pay as appropriate.
Qualifications
Education:Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from anaccredited school is required.
Licensure/
Certifications: CurrentMissouri Speech Pathology License or a Missouritemporary license required upon hire. Temporary license is only valid for 90 days, Missouri Speech Therapylicense must be obtained prior to expiration of temporary license. ASHA Certification ofClinical Competence (CCC-SLP) must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Current BLScertification required upon hire.
Experience: A minimum of successful completion of clinicalinternships and Clinical Fellowship is required. 1year hospital/health related experiences preferred.
