Job Description:

CDM Smith currently has a new opportunity for an experienced Civil Project Manager to join our Southeast water services unit. Our Boca Raton office has strong water and environmental expertise to support our current and future projects in the surrounding municipal markets.

Our services have spanned the areas of modeling, master planning studies, design, and construction administration of water, wastewater, solid waste and storm water facilities. As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:

• Managing and serving as a Project Manager on major civil and environmental projects.

• Maintaining liaison with individuals and units within or outside organization.

• Acting independently on technical matters pertaining to your specialty field.

• Visualizing and assuming responsibility for new business development activities within your areas of expertise.

• Working as a recognized leader of technical and professional staff.

• Acting as mentor for lower-level employees.

• Planning, developing, coordinating, and directing several large and important projects or a project of major scope and complexity.

• Working with a few (3 to 5) subordinate supervisors or team leaders.

• Performing planning, engineering design, and problem solving for water, wastewater, and storm water municipal utility infrastructure projects.

• Provide civil/utility support to treatment projects involving wastewater, water, and waste-to-energy facilities.

• Leading and delegating to one or more junior engineers

• You will actively participate or assist in new business development by contributing to strategic planning, marketing, and business operations planning.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering.

Professional engineering (PE) license.

7 years of related experience.

Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with task management and/or project management involving multiple engineering disciplines a plus.

• Prior experience with South Florida Water Management District a plus.
