This role will analyze customer security requirements, evaluate network security architectures, oversee implementation of security controls, and integrate systems into customer operational networks. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of security engineering, as well as aspects of system assessment and authorization activities. The candidate will ensure approval processes are followed and validate security control implementations on system assets, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications, and other assets.The work will be performed at the customer site in Silver Spring, MD or at the Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) Dulles, VA location.There is the potential for a sign-on bonus of up to $40,000 for hires with an active TS/SCI or higher clearanceAdditional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Coordination with DOD customers on risk management, emerging technologies and threats, and system Assessment and Authorization Security assessments to determine compliance with NIST RMFInvestigations of computer security violations and incidentsOccasionally travel for company businessRequired Skills: Experience with cybersecurity engineering projects and programs for U.S. Government and/or commercial clients6+ years demonstrated experience in cybersecurity practices, methodologies, associated technologies, application design, and/or experience in an operational environment.
