Global Trade Compliance Analyst Techtronic Industries North America, Inc. (“TTI”) has an opening at its U.S. Headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL for a Sr. Global Trade Compliance Analyst. This position will report to the Group Vice-President of Global Trade. The Global Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting and assisting the business units’ Global Trade Managers with global trade transactions to ensure compliance with U.S. and applicable non-U.S. import/export control laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures. The Global Trade Compliance Analyst also is responsible for assisting the Group Vice-President with the daily administration of TTI’s Corporate import/export compliance program and strategic initiatives. Primary Responsibilities Collaborate cross-functionally and across the business units to ensure compliance with all relevant U.S. and non-U.S. import/export control laws and regulations, company policies and procedures while enabling the business to achieve its objectives Post Entry audits of division’s Customs brokers filings Assess the effectiveness of business unit import/export compliance policies, processes, procedures and work instructions and recommend improvements Review and manage Harmonize Tariff Schedule (“HTSUS”) classifications for components and finished goods Assist in the manage of Customs broker requests to ensure timeliness and accuracy of all entries submitted to U.S. Customs and Border Protection Assist in overseeing the business units’ Customs reconciliation process Create local work instructions and provide import/export training Assist with implementation and maintenance of the business units’ duty drawback program Assist with internal audits, assessments and/or reviews of all import/export transactions and recordkeeping Collect, assess and issue NAFTA Certificates; ensure compliance with NAFTA requirements Support the Group Vice-President with import/export licensing and compliance matters and initiatives across the enterprise Assist with C-TPAT processes and maintenance including but not limited to internal audits, portal maintenance, manual updates and training Support investigations of potential violations of import/export control laws and regulations and company policies and procedures Manage a diverse workload (including projects) which may include changes in priorities and responsibilities Ability to travel as required (with frequent domestic travel to the business units expected in the first 3-6 months of employment) Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Business Administration, Logistics or related field or relative work experience Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) (preferred) Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) certification (preferred) 3 - 5 years of progressive experience performing complex global trade compliance related activities Extensive knowledge of tariff classifications and country of origin determination Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. import and export control laws and regulations – including industry best practices Working knowledge of Incoterms 2020 Soft Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office – particularly in Excel (formulas, pivot tables) Strong problem solving and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail Excellent communication/writing and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally and across the business units at all levels – especially under pressure in circumstances in which business owners may challenge decisions/determinations/guidance Ability to work independently and effectively (at times with minimal direction), prioritize projects/assignments, multitask and drive discrete tasks/matters/projects to timely closes
