Together, we are on a quest to change banking for good.Sr. Manager, Software EngineeringWhat We Do?Our teams work to secure our bank customers transactions wherever they bank with Capital One: online, via the mobile app, or in our branches and Capital One Cafes. We leverage various technologies and platforms to improve the experience of our customers while curbing fraudulent activity. This work increasingly relies on machine learning to detect fraudulent or suspicious activity. Our teams are located in McLean, Virginia and we partner with teams located in our New York City, Richmond, and Wilmington offices.As a Capital One Sr. Manager, Software Engineering, youll work on everything from customer-facing web and mobile applications using cutting-edge open source frameworks, to highly-available RESTful services, to back-end Java based systems using the hottest techniques in Big Data. Youll bring solid experience in emerging and traditional technologies such as: AWS/Cloud Infrastructure, Java, node.js, AngularJS, React, Python, REST, NoSQL databases, relational databases, Hadoop, Chef, and Maven to name a few. You will lead the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems, get your hands in the code, while leading a team of high performing software engineers on complex and high priority technology projects.Our team is looking for a Sr. Manager, Software Engineering to build forward-looking architectures that present innovative products and create great experiences for prospective customers on their credit journey. You would become an inspiring mentor for technology teams within Capital One.
