Position Responsibilities: We are seeking a bright, ambitious and motivated New Business Sales Executive to develop relationships with Architecture, Consulting Engineering, Construction Consultancy and Contractor businesses who want to invest in technology to help drive business efficiencies and promote a better knowledge sharing culture.
In this role, you will be confident pitching to clients, communicating complex ideas relating technology to business process, negotiate contracts and have a keen appetite for building and developing new relationships.
You will be selling the Deltek PIM portfolio, which is currently the most widely used document, email and knowledge management platform within the UK construction professions. More than 35,000 industry professionals from 15 countries are empowered by our technology every day.
The role may suit a salesperson looking for a move into enterprise system sales or a career change, coming from one of the construction professions into a vibrant, successful and forward looking construction focused technology business.
Supported by a strong sales and marketing function in the UK, your role will involve:
* Building a pipeline of sales opportunities in your target market
* Developing relationships with senior decision makers within this market.
* Monitoring decision making cycles and ensuring that Deltek is involved in the short-listing process
* Providing vision from a market development perspective
Qualification: You will ideally have experience within a similar role or industry experience. Direct experience of developing information systems opportunities is not vital, however, an interest in business processes and technology is key.
You will have a pedigree in telephone work (i.e. cold calling to secure appointments and develop market intelligence), and other networking techniques to establish credibility and open new business opportunities. This is something you must be comfortable to continue doing.
As a self-motivated individual, you will be naturally inquisitive about how technology can support business operations and be able to clearly communicate complex ideas to all levels of business sponsor. You will understand the industry processes, relating to practice and project running and will be able to support software presentations with the appropriate industry dialogue. Solid commercial acumen and empathy to business needs is required to engender trust from senior decision makers.
You will have 3-5 years of sales experience (direct sales B2B) and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
