About Staff Pharmacist

What does a Staff Pharmacist do?

As Staff Pharmacists, we read prescription orders and accordingly dispense medications based on pharmacy guidelines. We have to provide refills to patients as per physician’s prescriptions and inform patients about medication usages including dosages and administration procedures. We have to address patient queries and concerns professionally and monitor inventory status and accordingly order and stock medications in the pharmacy. Also, we maintain clear and complete patient medication profiles in the database.

Core tasks:

  • supervising pharmacy technicians and interns on daily basis
  • ensuring to provide accurate, timely, friendly, and efficient services to patients
  • working in accordance with pharmacy laws established by local, state, and federal
  • providing direction to Junior Pharmacists and evaluate their performances
