What does a Staff Registered Nurse do?

As Staff Registered Nurses, we provide the needed health care services to all residents within our environment. We are responsible for the initial assessment of patients, monitoring of vital signs, and guiding them to recovery. We must ensure that patients are provided with a warm and effective journey back to health. We work efficiently as individuals and as members of a team to carry out our duties. Staff Registered Nurses also oversee the coordination of employee schedules to ensure shifts are properly covered.

Core tasks:

  • assisting with the development of staff members
  • identify and remove possible workplace hazards
  • orchestrate programs designed to promote and maintain health and safety
  • assign beds to patients
  • enforce all procedures and policies available within the workplace
