In 1970, Staffmark, formerly known as CBS Personnel Services, was established in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. The company was founded with the mission to become a helpful partner for customers, employees, and the communities. In 1999, the company acquired Columbia Staffing and Healthcare Services and expanded healthcare staffing and locations in South Carolina. Later, in 2004 Staffmark acquired Venturi Staffing expanded in 13 states. In 2006 the company acquired Strategic Edge Solutions and expanded their locations in Maryland, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. In 2008, company acquired Staffmark offices in 29 States. All offices came under the Staffmark brand having over 300 locations in 31 states. In 2011 Staffmark became the part of Recruit, a leading HR company of the world. In recognition of outstanding customer service of the company, Staffmark has been awarded by the prestigious Best in Staffing® Award for both clients as well as talent. The company was also awarded by the Diamond Award for the Best of Staffing® Client Award for continuous seven years.
