As Strategic Buyers, we are responsible for leading a number of projects to help with the achievement of strategic purchasing objectives. We are further responsible for the management of the supply of a commodity product and will support the growth of the business by developing long term synergies in the Purchasing function. We have to define objectives and detailed plan for each project, in line with the Business Unit and company purchasing strategies.
- undertake benchmarking and managing the supply chain risks and the actions to secure the supply chain
- negotiating clear, robust and favorable terms and conditions in an appropriate contract, in accordance with the rules and handing over new suppliers to the other buyers as and when required
- communicating to other members of the organization Purchasing Team and reporting on progress and activities
- ensuring project objectives are achieved, defining and managing a detailed plan for each assigned project
