About Strategic Sourcing Manager

What does a Strategic Sourcing Manager do?

As Strategic Sourcing Managers, we are responsible for evaluating the company’s current sourcing procedures and present and explain customized improvement strategies to the senior management. We also analyze and calculate the exact procurement costs and develop new strategies to reduce the overall cost by scouting for better and closer vendors to reduce the shipping fees while analyzing and calculating the new procurement strategies costs in the long term. We drive the purchasing decisions based on the current market trends, overalls pending cost, and scenario analysis.

Core tasks:

  • negotiate a various contract with hey suppliers on behalf of the company
  • coordinate with the procurement department to identify new potential suppliers
  • conduct regular market research to create accurate cost estimates and forecasts
