Summary

Our Corporate Development and Strategy team is seeking an Analyst to support corporate development activity. This candidate will be a part of a fast-paced team working on a wide range of projects. The candidate will support day-to-day activities, including company and market intelligence, financial modeling and analysis, business development and M&A transaction support. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently to define project requirements based on the group's stated goals, and develop creative solutions utilizing available technology and tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the execution of corporate strategy and development projects with ownership of key aspects
  • Support corporate M&A activities to include deal sourcing, due diligence, execution and integration
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis including product and technology offerings, market size and trends, competitive landscape and business models. Synthesize information from various sources to support the business analyses
  • Perform financial analysis including valuation and market forecast models
  • Develop business plans and financial models in support of InterDigital's process for evaluating new business opportunities
  • Synthesize data and develop recommendations to enable decision making, craft presentations summarizing findings for management
  • Use available software tools and databases (e.g., corporate, financial, patent, legal) to craft creative solutions in support of proactive Corporate Development efforts
  • Direct junior staff members in preparation of projects across spectrum of Corporate Development activities
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years minimum of relevant work experience, preferably in one of the following areas: consulting, banking, corporate development, strategy or business development
  • Bachelors/Masters in a Quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering)
  • Ability to manage business initiatives through to completion and manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, leadership and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis skills preferred
  • Background in technology preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Location: Conshohocken, PA; Wilmington, DE; Washington, DC; or Manhattan, NY - Hybrid option available to work remotely part of the time but must be commutable to one of these office locations listed in the Greater Philadelphia Area.

Tasks

  • Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, using workflow chart and diagram, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic.
  • Correct errors by making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced.
  • Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
  • Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs such as tracking inventory, storing or retrieving data, or controlling other equipment.
  • Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes.
  • Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct.
  • Prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation, and convert them into a series of instructions coded in a computer language.
  • Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program.
  • Consult with and assist computer operators or system analysts to define and resolve problems in running computer programs.
  • Perform systems analysis and programming tasks to maintain and control the use of computer systems software as a systems programmer.
  • Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users.
  • Investigate whether networks, workstations, the central processing unit of the system, or peripheral equipment are responding to a program's instructions.
  • Assign, coordinate, and review work and activities of programming personnel.
  • Train subordinates in programming and program coding.
  • Develop Web sites.
  • Train users on the use and function of computer programs.
  • Collaborate with computer manufacturers and other users to develop new programming methods.
