About Substitute Paraprofessional

What does a Substitute Paraprofessional do?

As substitute paraprofessionals, we are assisting the educational workers with classwork and student administration. Record students’ attendance, providing teaching support, assist the teacher in lesson preparation are some of our core duties. We also instruct the students about the lesson in the absence of the teacher. Not only the teacher, but we also guide the students in the classroom activities and assignments both individually or in groups. We also assist the teachers in monitoring the student’s behavior and anxiety. Preparing teaching material, assigning notebooks and assignments are also listed in our duties.

  • assist the teacher with the classroom about the instructional tasks
  • observe the learning behavior of students
