About Substitute Teacher

What does a Substitute Teacher do?

As substitute teachers, we work on behalf of the absent teachers. Our job is to conduct management and administrative procedures of the classroom on behalf of the absent teacher. We have to mark the attendance of the students and maintain classroom discipline. In addition to it, we are responsible for assigning and explaining home tasks to students. Sometimes, we also have to manage and create reports of students and interact with their parents too. When the teacher is absent, we have to keep the students engage positively.

  • conducting classes as per the teacher’s lesson plans
  • assigning and explaining homework to students
  • taking attendance and writing routine notes
  • maintaining a safe and conducive environment all the time in class
