Management hounds you about getting things done safely but then turns around and tells you to hurry up and just get it done. Sent out to jobsites 4+hrs away from primary work location to do major repairs on equipment in unsafe environments. (Was expected to change a starter on diesel powered air compressor in 1ft of water in a flooded zone. Said I wasn't going to do it and it would be safer to just swap unit out and do repair in shop. Proceeded to be written up for unwillingness to preform job.) When on call you will go to job sites 3hrs away at 1am and be expected to come into work at 7am for your following shift.
Pros and Cons
Pay is good because you frequently work 80+hrs a week
You frequently work 80+hrs, preach safety but expect you to work in unsafe environments

If you like equipment and are interested in learning a lot about it this is your job , not much room for growth in the smaller stores but possibly if you work in larger populated areas there is more opportunities within , loved working with the crew but management has chip on their shoulder
