Supply Chain Planner

As supply chain planners, we are responsible for anticipating and maintaining supply stock levels to ensure that our organization’s operations run smoothly. We perform stock inspections, anticipate market changes, and ensure appropriate inventory levels. We liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any problems.

Core tasks:

• acquiring materials and supplies needed for business operations
• tracking supplies from time of purchase to time of receipt
• identifying and communicating any supply delays
• managing relationship with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
• reviewing supplies to ensure quality
• monitoring stock levels
• preparing reports, back orders and delivery schedules
• preparing purchase orders
• monitoring order status
