About Support Coordinator

What does a Support Coordinator do?

The support coordinator title is a very general, and the exact nature of our job will depend on our department/organization/industry. Most often however it involves providing some form of customer support. In this sense, we support the organization’s clients by providing helpful information, answering questions, and responding to inquiries. We act as a front line support for customers/clients and help to ensure satisfaction with the organization’s products, services, and features.

Project support coordinators on the other hand usually assist internal project teams in administrative tasks related to the organization’s current and upcoming projects.

Some of us may work in sales, design, field services, operations, supply chain, and more. In the broadest terms, we provide assistance with the clerical needs of these functions.

Core tasks:

  • providing customer support (responding to queries)
  • providing administrative support (managing documentation, contracts, communications, correspondence, etc.)
